Welcome to the BIFM Annual Conference 2010
The 2010 BIFM Annual Conference will give facilities management professionals strategic vision and practical tools to adapt, survive and prosper during these challenging economic times.
Now in its 17th year and back in London for the first time since 2001, the conference will explore the political, economic, technological, environmental and social challenges facing today's FM through a mix of main stage presentations, in-depth parallel sessions, site visits and a varied Fringe programme, plus unrivalled opportunities for networking.
Conference Highlights
Will Hutton
A fascinating keynote presentation in prospect from Will Hutton, executive vice chair of The Work Foundation, the most influential voice on work, employment and organisation issues in the UK. A regular adviser to senior political and business figures, Will is today one of the pre-eminent economics commentators in the country.
Oona King
A thought provoking insight into Community Cohesion and Diversity from Oona King, the former MP and now head of diversity for Channel 4 television.
Sir Chris Bonington
One of Britains most iconic figures, Sir Chris Bonington, mountaineer, author and business consultant will relate his record breaking adventures and tie them into how we meet our own business and personal challenges.
Chair's Reception
The BIFM Chair's Reception and Gala Dinner will be at Gibson Hall, this stunning venue was built in 1865 and with huge chandeliers, dome ceiling and Corinthian pillars the evening will be atmospheric with a sense of tradition and history. Parallel Sessions
Ten parallel sessions covering a diverse range of subjects, gives you a chance to ‘customise’ the conference to your particular area of interest. Examples of the diverse session topics include Developing sustainable FM, Financial control of facilities across large complex estates and a view from Hungary on Governmental strategy to galvanise the FM industry.
