Fringe Events

The conference will also be host to a variety of fringe events running alongside the main event. These have been created to provide more interactive and provocative discussion linked to the conference themes, and will be presented in a less formal environment and format.

Site Visit

Each year BIFM Conference delegates are offered the chance to go 'behind the scenes' of a major site or building with a facilities manager as your guide. Previous visits have included a Cambridge University research campus, a PFI hospital and a science park. This year's site visit will be announced soon.

Wipe Out Waste

Social Media

Martin Brown and Paul Wilkinson, Co-Founders of be2camp will facilitate a barcamp style session on the use of social media and Web2.0 in the built environment and FM.

Sustainability In FM

Sustainability in FM is a website that shares the knowledge and experience of FM's in their practice to implement sustainability in their working environment. The website shares good practice case studies, all reviewed by a Steering Group comprised of experts in the industry, as well as articles and links ranging across an academically research-based sustainability framework.
