Fringe Events

The conference will also be host to a variety of fringe events running alongside the main event. These have been created to provide more interactive and provocative discussion linked to the conference themes, and will be presented in a less formal environment and format.

Site Visit

Conference delegates will have the opportunity to visit the Palace of Westminster at 4pm on Tuesday 13th April. On the site of the Houses of Parliament is the Palace of Westminster, a royal palace and former residence of kings. The layout of the Palace is intricate, with its existing buildings containing nearly 1,200 rooms, 100 staircases and well over 3 kilometres (2 miles) of passages. Among the original historic buildings is Westminster Hall, used nowadays for major public ceremonial events.

If you are interested in registering for this complimentary tour, you will need to pre-book a place as numbers are limited. You will need to take 2 forms of ID with you (i.e. driving licence and passport).

Only delegates who have pre-registered will be able to take advantage of this tour.

Live Be2camp 

  • An introduction to an alternative form of conferencing - 'barcamp' or 'unconferencing' where delegates are the participants.
  • Delegates are invited to post requests for areas they would like to know about, or would like to share before the session, on line or on the day, we will organise say three concurrent sessions based on biggest request themes.

Sustainability In FM

Sustainability in FM is a website that shares the knowledge and experience of FM's in their practice to implement sustainability in their working environment. The website shares good practice case studies, all reviewed by a Steering Group comprised of experts in the industry, as well as articles and links ranging across an academically research-based sustainability framework.
